Blind tasting night - sauvignon blanc theme - this was a vintage of fume blanc that confused me a bit due to its lack in complexity I'm used to... very light on its feet, with a tropical nuance. The acid was high, but not quite NZ juicy, which is where I guessed this wine was from... good but not what I remembered wines from this producer to be.

The nose is mouth watering. Green apples, lime, and white flowers really pull you in. The palate is lively, taut and energetic. Great minerality to boot. A fantastic Sauv Blanc, but I couldn't get over the lack of Pouilly Fume flint and smokiness. I wish I could have tried it blind (damn preconceived notions).

Beautiful Poully Fume 2013! Great balance of white flowers and pinapple! High acidity and wonderful structure, for sure a great sauvignon blanc of the Loire Valley!

Jul 2nd, 2022Pale lemon-hued. Aromas and flavors of almond, cream, flint, grapefruit, honeysuckle, and lemon zest. Medium body and medium-plus acidity. Soft bouquet of floral and citrus notes; a textured mouthfeel; and a crisp finish of grapefruit and minerals. A lovely and balanced Sauvignon Blanc.
