Pale Lemon in colour. More in the lean style for Margaret River as compared to the richer “peaches and cream “ style of Cuvées like Leeuwin Art Series and Pierro. The oak has been judiciously dialled back not to overwhelm the more delicate fruit profile of citrus and grapefruit. Finished off with crisp acid. Would have liked a riper fruit profile from this good vintage. Perhaps picking a little later? Tasted 29 weeks later on 1st December 2021. Developing nicely with sweet grapefruit, nectarine and pear. Xanadu still having a wonderful run on the Australian Wine Show Circuit. Tasted again on 2nd July 2022 with consistent notes. Last bottle. Great value at $30 a bottle.

Good complex nose of apricot, peach, nutt and a touch of butter. Beautiful complexity, texture and lees influence. Delish !

May 8th, 2015Restrained and lean. An Aussie Chablis style even with a touch of Oyster shell and salinity. Lemon lime flavours with acidity. Fuller when I had a glass the following day. 17.5+.

I've had Xanadu Chardonnay plenty of times before so I knew my palate would be in a happy mood with this one. In the glass it's a lovely sunny spring summer's day. Notes of almonds, creamy vanillin oak and orchard fruits jump from the glass. In the mouth it's well rounded with spiced apple pie, citrus peel and a lovely long finish. Yum, definitely my style Chardy!

Well balanced with a touch of lemon and lime and a bit of oak. Much more familiar with CA Chards but will definitely revisit Australia again.

Apple and very subtle oak notes, balanced and not in any way over the top (oak or fruit), medium-long finish, lovely local (Margaret River) Chardonnay!!
