Ultra fine and soft tannins carpet a well balanced mouthful of stewed plums with an acidity that is still very fresh. Maybe four years older than I would choose to drink it but still loved it.

Delicious! would definitely appeal to some palates more at this stage of life.
I do lament the loss of some of its power though it has gained in other areas. Tannins are so fine and sit so softly that I worry about its lifespan. But after some consideration I think it is actually very well balanced. It will just be a very different creature in another 5 years time. — 3 years ago
Tasted completely blind- Incredible deep amber gold colour suggests considerable age but the acid structure! Clean, persistent and still so fresh this had me stumped for a while. There was only a slight hint of the mineral/kerosine note hiding amongst all the rich fruit flavour that gave me an important hint.
This is an amazing dry Riesling that could do another five years and potentially more. my guess was very close. (2000 polish hill) I nearly got it!

I'm loving Victorian shiraz these days! Medium bodied, earthy and really well balanced! Mouthfeel is terrific, so much more interesting than your typical Barossa/McLaren vale shiraz.
But also not too challenging.

Herbaceous, pepper and spice notes dominate the nose. Tangy plummy palate has good acid and ok length. Fruit flavour is short lived but fades out smoothly so doesn't feel incomplete. Tannins are balanced well and texture is ideal for the style. Mid palate presence fall short. — 3 years ago
Seriously good, edgy, energetic and intense! All this despite 100% malo which imparts a wonderful creamy texture. Oak balance is spot on. — 3 years ago
