Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits with notes of floral, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and figs with licorice and herb spice. Fine tannins, nice texture, long finish ending with fruit and mineral spice character. Nice!

Deep magenta. A complex, intensely perfumed bouquet evokes black raspberry, kirsch and lavender, along with vibrant mineral and exotic spice flourishes. Incisive red and dark berry, bitter cherry and succulent herb flavors show fine detail and spicy cut. Chewy, slowly building tannins add shape and grip to a strikingly long, nervy finish that echoes the cherry and floral notes. All whole clusters. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, January 2023)

Christmas lunch date at V. Mertz. Popped and poured from a half bottle. No formal notes. From the pour, this was ready to rock and faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Ripe red fruits, garrigue and pasture land. Tasty and paired well with the carbonara and kimchi bucatini.

I love this wine, but I swear to God I have got to start drinking my older wine. Maybe it will open up in the decanter but on first glance, it’s past its prime. Has that tart, overripe dark cherry fruit. Oh well. My mistake.

375. Beautiful high-toned nose of red berries and rocky minerality. Full, just ripe enough, and with intense minerality and very good acidity. Old school.

Tannins are pretty high, bright red fruit, little out of balance, maybe could use couple more years

Potent aromas of ripe dark fruit- purple raspberry, cherry, lavender, some cinnamon, and garrigue. Lighter and brighter on the palate than expected. Finishes sweet with bitter black tannins. Impressive balance and great value.
