Purple dress, of medium intensity.
The nose is inviting: black cherry, morello cherry, herbaceous and peppery notes. In the mouth the attack is fresh, the body is of a beautiful all-airborne concentration. The tannins are fine and concentrated. It is very fine and juicy as it is with a beautiful mineral structure that underlies an ageing potential not yet reached. A Morgon as we like it.

Nez invitant, cerise noire, griotte, notes végétales herbacées et poivrées. En bouche l’attaque est fraîche, le corps est d’une belle concentration toute aérienne. Les tanins sont fins et concentrés. 2021 is in the measure of previous vintages. Violet, black pepper, freshness and chew carried by a salivating mineral tension that is well expressed from the attack to the final. A pretty syrah wine to drink from his youth.

Purple-ruby dress, half-deep. Discreet nose. The mouth, is as expected between cherry, gently peppered spices, and evolution to the herbal nuances of rose and dried herbs. It pinote absolutely well in the Beaujolais-bourguignon style. Fine and tight tannins, concentration, and a generous material in the mouth on this very beautiful 2015 vintage. Delicacy and elegance. Ready to drink.

Dark, deep dress. Nose, black fruits, spices, oak barrels, cocoa notes, mint.
Fresher and more fond mouth than expected for an Australian Shiraz. The primary notes are those of Australia, but winemaking and ageing tend more towards the Rhône-Nord style with welcome nuances, whether it is the mineral structure, just like the rounding of tannins. Needs to be aired for an hour, and slightly refreshed.

Bouche plus fraîche et friande qu’attendu pour un shiraz australien. Les notes primaires sont bien celles de l’Australie mais la vinification et l’élevage tendent plus vers le style Rhône-Nord avec des nuances bienvenues, que ça soit la structure minérale, tout comme l’arrondi des tanins. In the mouth, the attack is fresh and liquoriced, adjusting the balance with a clearly assumed ageing. Medium body. Finals with persistent tannins.

Robe rubis, d’intensité moyenne. Nez prédominé par l’élevage et les épices: vanille, tabac doux, fenouil, cèdre. Un début d’évolution se fond aux notes tertiaires. Avec une bonne aération le vin se met en place. En bouche l’attaque est fraiche et réglissée, réglant l’équilibre avec un élevage clairement assumé. Corps moyen. Finales aux tanins persistants. So sorry that @Delectable no longer corrects poorly identified wines... I have almost a dozen waiting. It has an impact on the will to continue using this app, which nevertheless drives us a lot. Any way here is my note for this Madiran PN - Château Bouscassé - by Alain Brumont:

Yes to winemaking, to elegant ageing testifying to Alain Brumont's beautiful savoir faire. The wine is balanced from one end to the other. Maybe due to the age of the vines roots, the slightly sharp mineral character that I like to taste on PNs is not expressed enough to fully satisfy the expectations of a northern palate, in my opinion. To taste in winters maybe. It remains a good quality/price ratio.

Oui à la vinification, à l’élevage élégant témoignant du beau savoir faire d’Alain Brumont. Le vin est équilibré d’un bout à l’autre. Âge des vignes peu être (?), le caractère minéral un peu tranchant que j’aime goûter sur les PN ne s’y exprime pas suffisamment pour contenter totalement les attentes d’un palais nordiste, selon moi. A regoûter en hivers peut être. Ça reste un bon rapport qualité/prix. — 2 years ago
