Zerella family is from Campania and Fiano is very dear to them.
This variety has no problem with the cool vlimate of the Adelaide Hills and develops a great natural freshness that characterises the wine.
Winners at many wine shows, unfortunately there is not enough of this wine, only 300 cases.
It would be interesting to see how it ages, but for now let's enjoy all the shades of its youth.
Long and dry. Definitely food friendly, top with seafood. — 5 months ago
Classy very classy Jim Zerella. Sangiovese with stunning fruit and savory notes hint of spice and a beautiful length. Ian happy to drink this tonite with some anchovies and homemade sopresa salami. #ladolcevita #sawine #sangiovese — 9 years ago
Nero rose kicking a heap of goals. Red and dark cherries, pink peppercorn, just ripe strawberries and vanilla. Lengthy and textural; so good — 9 years ago

Very interesting interpretation of this Nort western Italian variety.
I personally reckon that releasing this wine after a long bottle age is the key.
The wine is textural, but super fresh too.
Hard to tell we deal with a 5yo wine.
Oily and mineral.
Arneis has always been a go to variety for me when i was in Italy for many reason, but mainly because the attitude towards it it's changing.
It was considered to be a " filling the bad plot" variety, but lately winemakers, specially in Roero, have started to put some light to it.
They say it takes at least a full year in bottle to get out extra layers of personality and so, as a consequence, producers start to apply that to some bottle aged version of it wjth marvellous results.
Zerella has done exactly the same.
The vineyard is on the edge of the cool Adelaide Hills.
Label isn't my favourite, but i guess we can a improve that. The liquid is gold and can age beatifully — 5 months ago
