Tropical fruits and sweet notes that went perfectly with Kobachi course (abalone….) — 2 years ago
Delicate nose of lemons and limes. Nice balanced mouthfeel with Granny Smiths and pears. Moderate weight and finish, with moderate acidity make this a great value buy.

sake of Kaiseki dinner at Naza GiroGiro with willie. Last sake and said to be best. Less fruity but complex with a note of sharpness and a bite that went well with the complicated duck dish. — 2 years ago
Rich and smooth/velvety. Awesome red fruit. Light but depth. Drank at mahogany with Smiths. Love this. — 4 months ago

Beechworth is in the foothills of the Victorian Alps and is fast becoming one of the premier districts for Chardonnay in Australia thanks to the burgeoning success of Giaconda (and also Savaterre). The Rodda Smiths Vineyard is a neighbour to these 2 Icons. Aromatics of grapefruit, white flowers and grilled nuts. On the medium bodied palate Peach, citrus and ripe grapefruit of medium plus intensity. Ticks all the boxes. 2021 was an excellent vintage in Beechworth as it was for most of Australia. Excellent wine and good value. — a month ago
