Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, chocolate, pepper, plum, raspberry, strawberry, tar, and vanilla. Medium-bodied, with rich, rounded tannins and medium-plus acidity. Smooth, luscious palate of ripe black fruit with a finish of minerals and oak. Drinking very well now. Blend of Syrah (25%), Grenache (25%), Mourvedre (25%), Zinfandel (15%), and Tempranillo (10%). — 3 years ago
Needed a little time to open up but then nice and smooth. Dry with good balance. — 4 years ago
This is called Benjamin’s Cuvée. Aged 10 years, but still dark as night. Smells berry-licoous with a hint of damp earth. Bit of toast too. Flavors are bright and juicy. Tannic too. This has nice balance with a tart streak, but it’s also fairly big and dense in the flavors. Some balsamic without the vinegar and maybe a hint of black licorice as well. Think this could age a bit more and still hold up. Great score at Grocery Outlet in Davis. — a year ago
One of my absolute favs from Westwood. This GSM blend is punchy, great color with berries galore! Get it now. — 3 years ago
This wine has me trippin. Someone on here mentioned motor oil on pavement—check! And pencil lead. And bitter herbs. And some dried fruit. And lavender. And the the taste of someone starting a V8 engine. And it’s chewy. And dry. And it hits you big but finishes long and elegant but rough around the edges (like I dunno, a Vivienne Westwood or Rick Owens leather jacket). And most importantly, it all weirdly works beautifully. Love it — 4 years ago
Dynamite. Boisonberry, currant, peppery. Thanksgiving wine! Had this after a night with two mediocre Pinots- hence this reeeeeally hit the spot — a year ago

Strong aromas of pear. Slightly buttery and oaky, lighter and crisper Chardonnay. Round mouth. Very nice. — 8 months ago
