Probably twenty years back, I tried this wine and absolutely loved it. Over the years, I have revisited, and quality seems to vary greatly. I saw this wine discounted to $11 today and thought with 4 years of age, I would give it a whirl! This is delicious! It is leaning towards being extracted, but not! On the nose rich fruit of cherry, strawberries, and blackberry; white pepper, cedar, and granite! Tastes of Licorice Nibs, blackberries, Bing cherry, graham cracker, pencil lead, and crushed wet rock. Ninety minute decant. — 4 months ago
Bold, rich and smooth red fruit and herbaceous aromas, very consistent from opening to tasting within. 30mins of being uncooked. Well-structured with a smooth finish. Plums are noticeable after acclimating the palate. Solid texture. — 9 days ago
The tannins on this have softened nicely although it’s still pretty big. I get cocoa and cherry over tobacco with a touch of baking spice. — 3 months ago
Cherry, cocoa, leather and blackberry. Fruity but very dark and rich, a little chewy. — 4 months ago

3.0. Napa Valley Cab with deep fruits and complex tannins, but some dullish lingering taste of earthen flavors perhaps from the chaparral. On sale for $32.49, regularly $37.99. — 6 days ago
