Good house Rose — 7 years ago
This Cabernet Sauvignon from the House of Charles Smith is always enjoyable. Well balanced and fruit forward with black fruits, earth and chocolates.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with Cheeses, olives and nuts.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (1 hour). Will get even better in a year or two.

Simple and sorta boring label. 14.5% ABV. Dark as purple ink. Smells like European licorice candies, dried cherry, and dark chocolate. Also has a pork in bar-b-que sauce element. And beets. Grated fresh beets. Flavors are true to Syrah with chewy earthy veggies, black currant jelly, and rich salmon on a cedar plank. The wet rocks and gravel of the good Syrah too. This is very balanced and classic Syrah. Made (label says ‘crafted’) by Morgan Lee. We’ll done Morgan. — 3 years ago
Soooo good! Elliott's Oyster House in Seattle — 7 years ago
Probably a little less amazeballs than the 2009 that Obama served the French president when he visited the white house, but still fantastic! A rustic sage and anise note are quite interesting as it lingers long after you swallow. Otherwise, the cherry and cola notes from the cab play off the juicy strawberry and leathery/fleshy notes of the Syrah. Damn this is good! — 7 years ago

Always one of our favorites. Unbelievable quality for the price point. Had a small glass right when it was opened then aerated and decanted; let it sit for awhile. Definitely can taste the Cab dominance, Merlot smoothed it out; very nice blend.
Nice wine to celebrate our new house. — 8 years ago

Very good wine from CB. Nice balance to it, lots of flavor. Had it with a nice steak. Great pairing. — 10 years ago
Smooth, delicious. New respect for Merlot. Had at sister's house. — 5 years ago
Gift from Donnie for my 40th birthday. Smooth taste with a blackberry finish. Oak-y. Having this with some Chicago Pepperoni Pizza, but a good everyday wine. — 6 years ago

I had pretty modest expectations and this one frankly shocked me at how good it turned out to be. Right off the bat, luscious blackberry, smooth tannins and surprising complexity and length for a $25 Cab, and for which I paid less. This could easily become a house wine. Lucy approves! — 7 years ago
Love this red blend! I let it air for 2 hours before drinking. — 8 years ago
2013 vintage drunk Dec 2017 after storage at 50F. Wonderful semiarometric aroma and taste with very mild apple and maybe other tastes, all blended to make this wonderful with mussels, salad with raspberry walnut vinaigrette and creamy Brie. Learning about Riesling, but Definitely recommend and will buy to keep in house. — 9 years ago

Reddish orange, excellent clarity. Red fruit and apple aromas. Cherry-berry and citrus flavor. Dry mineral finish. Another winner good for a warm day (or not so warm, even) — 2 years ago
