Absolutely delicious. Drank after a bottle of French champagne and what an absolute treat — 4 years ago
This was an evening out in Raleigh while in town for a wedding. We had a glass of the Nine Hats Red Blend. Medium purple with a nose of blackberry jam, strawberries, vanilla, and a slight hint of sweet tobacco. Very much a fruit forward wine on the palate. Full bodied, this is a crowd pleaser. We had this by the glass at Vita Vite in Raleigh, NC. At $20 a bottle this is a great value. — 5 years ago

Stellar Wine…. — 5 years ago

Ett nytt försök på godellos toppskikt. Tämligen unikt vin men den vuxen smakprofil. Blöta stenar, gröna äppelskal, kardemumma, lime, skalad mandel, vita blommor, kex m.m. Symfoniskt och knivskarp. — 6 years ago
Perfect at saturday afternoon with pasta 😊 — 6 years ago
Light white, nothing special. Got from Splash wines at $4/bottle so price is right — 6 years ago
This was a very pleasant surprise, versatile red that can probably pair well with many casual weeknight dinners. Not too fruity, not overly complex. Just overall pleasing. — 6 years ago
Decent Italian red blend — 3 years ago
Waitrose. Excellent PG. Unusual but pleasing fruity notes to it - orange blossom and melon definitely came through - perhaps some pomegranate too. Sharpness of a PG but with some complexity and depth to its flavour. — 4 years ago
A very open and fruity style Valtellina. Nose has loads of rock-infused cherry juice, counterbalanced by some old library scents. Although the color is surprisingly light, the flavors are expansive, with fruit at the front end then giving way to what is essentially liquid stone flavors. Tannins there but in check, nice acids. Unique style. Great with crescia (basically Italian empanadas filled with greens, ham, and cheese, and fried in olive oil.) — 5 years ago

A sweeter red, not dry, refreshing — 6 years ago
Here is an interesting red blend for my #AgedWineTuesday series.
Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
On the nose cherries, blueberries, light oak, light spices, black pepper, pencil lead, tobacco leaf, wet leaves, cola, earth and leather.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, tobacco, light oak, coffee, dark chocolates, coke, earth, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Medium finish with firm tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This unique blend from California is still drinking nicely. What a nice surprise, i did not expect it to be so alive by now.
Needs an hour of air time for the tannins to show up, and bring nice structure.
This 22 year old has seen better days, but still very enjoyable. Always nice to try a small piece of history. Must have been kept very well in the last 20 years.
Thank you Paul for sharing this.
I paired it with cheeses and olives.
A blend of 34% Nebbiolo, 32% Dolcetto and 34% Refosco.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
