Some sooty tarry notes. Light to medium bodied - lighter than I expected. After some time in the decanter the wine filled out and put on palate weight giving earthy plummy minerality on the now medium weight palate. Aromas of undergrowth and garrigue. 85% Grenache 9% Syrah 4% Mourvèdre and 2% assorted other varieties. From a cellaring viewpoint rather short term for a big name Chateaneuf du Pape. — 6 years ago
I love the beers of 5 Rabbit, and this gets a 10 simply for the message. Originally made for the bar at Trump Tower in Chicago, they broke the contract after his racism became apparent.
A very well made and well-balanced blonde ale, although the name may have changed to reflect their new viewpoint. #chingatupelo — 8 years ago
Pronounced vibrant aromas of honey, flowers of acacia, exotic fruits, white peach. Elegant perfume. Perfect 75:25 assemblage of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Very well balanced palate with the 20% new oak nicely integrated. The rest is matured in 2 yrs old Yquem barrels. Château d'Yquem has been producing rare gem “Y” since 1959 (though not every year) from dedicated parcels in the vineyard. The latest vintage of ‘14 is reminiscent of the ‘07 and ‘11 vintages from the winemakers viewpoint. Rating 4,5/5 — 7 years ago

Missing bae today, she’s in Chicago. Work travel is back I guess. Reading a little Calvino, watching a little Westworld and sipping on some Riesling.
Blades of grass, a cool day on a hike, the breeze that passed through a distant waterfall seen from atop the destined viewpoint.
A silk shawl draping the tongue in stone fruit, river water. Peaches and apples and fronds of supple leaves.
A bit of effervescence, a bit of acidity, a bit of petrol. Leads to a balance straddling dry and sweet at once.
Don’t really understand the underrated quality on the reviews, must be something I’m missing 🤷🏽♂️
I’ll go contrarian. — 3 years ago
