Another beautiful champagne from the Launois family. A pale old gold color with nice perlage and intensity. Freshly baked bread and green apple aromas for days. Melons and white peaches with herbs for good measure. There’s an innate sense of lemon zest in the air that’s just magnificent.
Pure Grand Cru Chardonnay from Mesnil-sur-Oger. Four years of aging on lees gives this a resplendent and stately nature. Nice acidity and a superb mouthfeel, especially on the second day. Apples and chalk on the palate alongside vibrant citrus fruits. I struggle to think of a better value in Champagne than this. Stock up. — 7 months ago
Was a bit on sweet side but was very light and refreshing. — a year ago
Pale gold with fine bubbles. Blossom, apple, pear, tangerine, lemon, brioche, and toasted almond. Dry, medium body. Well-balanced acidity with a crisp, medium-plus finish. You can find this stuff almost anywhere these days. But I must say, I still like it.

A fantastic celebration bottle. Wonderful vintage. — a year ago
Rich pink color.
Has nice flavors of strawberry and grapefruit, however is not sweet. Is more of a medium dry that finishes smoothly. — 3 years ago
Happy Heavenly Anniversary, Sofia. ❤️
We enjoyed a number of Launois over the years entertaining & celebrating. We even visited the property in 2005, I think 05. They have an amazing wine/champagne museum with all sorts of artifacts. Maybe, one of the best. It is extensive & large.
Sofia also loved clouds and photographed them often. — 7 months ago
A pretty pink salmon color with moderately energetic bubbles and creaminess. The bouquet is so pretty and precise with yuzu and vivacious strawberries. There’s so much juicy fruit going on here and it never stops. Raspberry tarts and warm cherry pie with a dose of dried herbs. A nice bit of earth and sage for good measure.
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from three consecutive vintages along with 30% reserve wines. It’s a splendid rosé from Vertus with racy acidity and nice structure throughout. The palate is very expressive with lively red berries and savory notes. A very well made champagne that’s easy drinking and just a pure pleasure. — 3 years ago

Tasted Dec 2024.
Zesty, uncomplicated champagne that fared well as a toast to the year that’s been. — 3 months ago
