Rich, earthy aroma. Nicely structured Zinfandel with pleasant spice notes that linger on the palate. One of the most satisfying Zins I've had in a while. — 8 years ago
Over two nights. First night with steak. Amazing. So easy drinking even without food second night. Yum!!! — 9 years ago

@Shay Aldriedge The hits just keep on coming from Shay! Thanks bud! Awesome Pinot!!! I scored this one slightly higher than the Montagu. There were a lot of similarities between the two in regards to balance &. Acidity. I found the Addax to be a little deeper and complex in regards to mouthfeel and spice note. The color reflects is a little darker as well. Both were phenomenal it I would give a small edge to the Addax. However!!!!!!!!! At almost twice the cost is it twice as good??????
I would venture to say "No". The Montagu crushes it in regards to QPR.

A plush delicious Pinot in the cult Tassie area of d'Entrecasteaux peninsula for Pinot near Home Hill who won the2015 Jimmy Watson trophy. Cherry nuances. A crowd pleaser. — 9 years ago
A treat this evening. @Jason Marcelle we miss you bud! Decanted and sipped slowly over two hours. Gets better and better in the glass! Very young and plenty of stuffing to go for years. — 7 years ago
I had never heard of this wine until my bud Ron @Ron R decided to school me in wine!! As some of you know, I love sharing wines that I feel passionate about with my friends and family. I met a partner in crime with Ron!! My new Bud decided to send me one of these beauties. I truly had no idea what I was in for one I received it. Ron simply advised "decant for two hours". I was thinking to myself that it would be this big, bold, jammy, brooding Australian Shiraz. Unfortunately, my tasting notes will definitely not be as eloquent as Ron's but I will try to do this wine justice as it is truly that good.
FSU fans (my daughter school) would love it's deep Garnett color!! The nose reveals dark fruit and a touch of leather and I get slight pencil shavings as well (I think! Lol). I'm still expecting a big power house at this point but upon 1st sip I'm blessed with flavors of spicy cherries., light vanilla with perfectly intergraded oak and tannins. I found it to be light and playful in comparison to the only Australian Shiraz that I've had recently which is Mollydooker's. velvet glove. In a nut shell., this is "The Bomb". I absolutely love it!!! & would easily recommend it to my friends. Thanks Bud! @Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Paul T @David Goldfinger @Howard Greenfield — 8 years ago

Decided to break open this Brunello tonight, after having a 2015 Argiano last night. This one is super rich with dark cherry, chocolate, and spice aromas. On the bud, the cherry notes continue to come out with cedar/oak notes and subtle spice notes. It velvety smooth with mild tannins and a nice long finish. Great with our steak and kale salad. Looking forward to tasting it with our chocolates later. This one is by far the winner of the two wines. I still have 6 more bottles in the cellar and can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve. — a year ago
