Yiannoudin Dry Red 2021

Deep red fruits. Nicely balanced. Fruit forward. Really enjoying this wine. We are at a Greek restaurant in Paris. This is our 1 st time to try wine from Cyprus. Really like it!! — 9 days ago

Topikos Oinos Lemesos Xynistéri 2021

NOSE: light, bright, lemon, seawater…a little asparagus? Green something. The tiniest smidge of passionfruit.

TASTE: clean…very clean. Less acid than you expect. Distinct spices…chili? Cardamom? White flower petals. This would be great with fish tacos. 90.

Commandaria Xynistseri-Mavro Blend 2008

— 10 years ago

Mouklos Mavro 2023

Delicious! Very light in color, it looked more like a dark rosé than a red. Bright, vibrant red fruit on the nose and palate. Great balance. Made from an indigenous grape from Cyprus. What a treat! 11/22/25. — 2 months ago

Very different take on Xinisteri. Rich and very structured. Lots of minerals and good acid. Has more in common with a high end village Burgundy than the bitingly acidic xinisteri more typical of Cyprus. Long finish. Excellent. — 4 years ago

Commandaria Xynistéri 2011

Delicious. Hard to call this a fortified wine at only 13.5% abc. Plenty of acidity to help this golden caramel colored wine to age. Absolutely tasty now. — 9 years ago

Vamvakada 2007

Vamvakada is Maratheftiko its pain in the a-s-s to grow since it's not hermaphrodite, although with the proper care and attention, not much oak and time in the bottle (5-6 years) it's amazing..... With deep ruby color, black fruit, soft tannins (granted you aged it) soft spicy character, with a key attribute her sexy and elegant acidity, herbal, leather, mushrooms and hints of truffles.... It's a full body, well structure vino that has a few more years. — 11 years ago
