Surprising in its unpretentious well balanced profile of not pretending to be the yeasty Champagne but just its own character of white fruits and earthy minerals and medium finish. Great with Leila’s grilled garlic shrimp and next day Evan’s spicy chicken tortilla. — 4 years ago
Having with a tortilla Espanola , manchego cheese and some Jamon. Delicious pairing! Remembering our time in Spain. — 5 years ago

Like a cross breed of fresh Loire Cab Franc and dusty Langhe Nebbiolo.
Lots of little notes that don't often socialize. Graphite, pencil shavings, cherry leather, old attic and moth balls, and cedar lining and a creeping pyrazine thing that takes an extra 7-8 extra seconds to say hello. And also blackberries, crushed rose petals, and salty volcanic soil.
All wrapped up in a big tannin tortilla. — 2 years ago
Very light in color. Wet straw and leaves covered in lemon on the nose. Salty lime on the palate. Reminds me of salty tortilla chips and margaritas. More interesting than many whites. Nice acid. Nice finish. — 4 years ago

So glad our impressions from the tasting at the Lytton Springs tasting room was borne out over a year later. You probably haven’t had a #chardonnay like this. This vintage has a distinctive green curry leaf (Bergera koenigii) aroma, backed by dried pineapple, toasted almonds. There’s some weight on the palate, stone fruit, pear and hints of vanilla. Beautifully complex and paired wonderfully with heirloom Mexican corn tortilla tacos. #ridgevineyards — 24 days ago
