Basic table dinner wine - it was pretty good - good choice for a party — 3 years ago
Drunk review 3: Wine number three of the night. It has a silky, olive oil-like quality to it. Like, when you attempt to taste olive oil the professional way, but you have no idea what you're doing, so you feel it burn at the back of your throat-- but it's also not unpleasant? Medium boldness. It's your friend at a party that is quiet and shy in real life, but then is surprisingly outgoing when drinking and you're like, "Damn. And I thought I was taking you out." Earthy notes, like herbs just taken out of the dirt in the middle of fall. I would pair this while petting a Golden Retriever. It's good. — 4 years ago
Discussing JL’s Bach party at Il Postino — 2 years ago
This was my first experience with Bollinger, and it did not disappoint. There were flavors of pear a little bit of Apple and a kind of toasty-ness. I don’t have a lot of experience with fine champagnes. But it seemed like the flavors here were more delicate and nuanced and kind of layered I guess you might say. This was a great start to our Thanksgiving dinner. As my dad said, “now that’s the way to start a party”. $50 at Costco was a decent deal and it came in a nice gift box. — 4 years ago
Camphre , en plus de tout le reste étant super — 3 years ago
A friend had a “reduction party” as he was needing to thin out his cellar. Definitely a party I’m happy to attend!
Had the 2012 Odette Reserve or 2012 Bryant Family not been on the table, this may have won the night. Whereas the other two were drinking deliciously, this displayed more youthful notes than I expected. The fruit here was really bright...candied black cherries, fresh blueberries and blackberries, baking spices, toasted oak, and savory charcoal. Nicely compact on the palate...bing cherries dusted in dark chocolate shavings, Black Forest cake, sandalwood, and smoked meat. If opening now, decant for a few hours. — 5 years ago

The 2016 showed nice ripe fruits and falls into style of the other 2016’s I have tasted. Not as complex as the other vintages but a nice elegant wine.
