Sea View Ridge Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

Deep garnet color. Fragrant aromas and flavors of strawberries, cranberries, pomegranate, dark chocolate and black tea. Touch of earth and black pepper on the finish. Brimming with acidity. Tart and tangy. Light to medium bodied. Firm structure. Quite gritty but also elegant at the same time. Well made. — 4 days ago

Citizen Estate Syrah 2017

So fortunate to have another bottle of this Syrah…..the fruit comes from the Fatman Terrace in Ballard Canyon. The wine has everything that makes Syrah awesome. If you are fortunate enough to have it, consider yourself lucky #SSCO — 13 days ago

Sea View Ridge Block 19 Pinot Meunier 2018

Wild and brambly. Tart cranberry and rhubarb with and herbaceous mid palate. Gorgeous! — a month ago

Charles de Cazanove

Stradivarius Brut Champagne Blend 2007

Complex, aromatic, and in a great spot at 14 years old. On the nose there are slightly bruised apples and pears, warm buttered bread, honey, vanilla, and a subtle maple syrup thing. An oxidative style (which I enjoy) with fine, delicate bubbles. According to one of my favorite retailers in town, this is one of ten bottles allocated to the Natural State. Here’s to putting 2021 in the rear view mirror. — a month ago

Great Chardonnay as they come. I can ship it all evening, during dinner, or even in the early afternoon. I’ll drink it again! — 20 days ago

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2016

This wine was excellent. Set the stage for a fantastic evening of al fresco dining on our terrace with Ray and Michelle Bonilla, two of our closets friends. — 18 days ago

Diamond Creek Vineyards

Red Rock Terrace Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1989

30 min decant (decent fine/chunky sediment). A splended medium dark garnet with some bricking. On the nose: plum, sweet aged cab perfume, musky wet forest floor, eucalyptus, crushed rocks, and smoke. Taste: soft, smooth, delicate, med plus body wine with a little red fruit, leather, cedar, and a herbaceous bitter chocolate finish. What a treat!!! to drink this 12.5% alc, 32 year old wine. Still kicking, even though on the downside. Cheers! — 2 months ago

Colli di Luni Vermentino 2019

Liguria is a coastal region in Italy, nestled in the northwestern corner of the country, hugging the Ligurian Sea, with steep mountains defining the landscape.

It offers an ideal mix of warm, dry conditions, moderating influences from the coast and varying altitudes, and nutrient-poor soils (which is good for vine growing!). However, its dramatic topography limits the amount of wine that can be produced from this region…

With that background, we were thrilled to be sipping a glass of this beautiful Ligurian white wine made from the Vermentino grape. What a pleasure to envision us sitting on a terrace overlooking the sea!

Leaping out of the glass was tangerine peel, grapefruit, green apple, passion fruit, pineapple, boxwood, white citrus blossom, elderflower, and wet stone -- a delicious confluence of pronounced fruit and floral aromas and flavors.

It was vibrant, youthful, and fresh, yet also concentrated and juicy, adding a level of richness to the mouthfeel.

Lvnae, Colli di Luni D.O.C., Vermentino, ABV 12.5. Vintage 2019. A fantastic value at $25 / bottle.

Salute!

@Vin d’Ottawa They have beautiful wines! I highly recommend trying some. The Vermentino was so likable. If you enjoy Sauvignon Blanc or Bordeaux Blanc, I think you’d enjoy this beauty, as well.
