Huckleberry's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

Nicely developed, spice and fruit intermix with earthy deliciousness. Still in harmony and balance. — 6 months ago

Starscape Vineyard Pinot Noir

Nice expression of Russian River, well balanced as always, bright cherries and minima raspberries that are crisp- no stewed fruit or jamminess here. Lovely wine. — 3 years ago

Mystery Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Marta Rich

This Cabernet, from an unnamed famous vineyard in Napa Valley is drinking beautifully! Just tasted again we are blown away by its grace and balance, it’s broad and sassy character and it’s amazing large yet restrained presence. Such a treasure... it’s a shame it’s sold out.

Hawk Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2005

Drinking the 2005 vintage in 2018. I love finding the 10+ yr old Talisman vintages. They all drink amazingly well and have great character that can’t be compared to the young Pinots. One of my favorites! — 4 years ago

Red Dog Vineyard Pommard Clone Pinot Noir 2007

Unbelievable wine. Wow. The rest is decanting but sipping the first PNP. Gorgeous carnelian and brick. Great nose full of round and juicy black cherries, blackberries, lavender, restrained fresh uncut strawberries, hint of field herbs and dried leaves and dried mushroom. Then it’s a velvet glove in your mouth- literally a super seductive velvet mouth feel. Elegant. Balanced with layers of dark fresh uncandied cherry, rhubarb and dark skinned plums. This is followed by mild Forrest floor and a hint of fallen tree woodiness, lending its mild integrated tannin as the structure for a long finish of dark red raspberries and cherries with a hint of tartness. Burgundian to the nth degree. Hats off, knee down. Phenomenal work. — 2 years ago

Rancho Estrella Pinot Noir 2012

Nose= Roasted raspberries. Blood orange. Fruity, aromatic, mature. Mashmellow smoke. Elegant. There's age.

Sight= Hazy. Starting to clear at the edge. Colors of orange from age. -cranberry tea.

Palate= Beautiful upfront fruit that fades quickly to high alc. cranberry, macerated raspberry. Aged well. A little out of balance.

With time it comes together to mouth smacking candied raspberry.
