Bonny Doon Vineyard

Vin Gris De Cigare Rosé Grenache Blend 2019

Primarily Grenache (79%) with small amounts of Six other grapes. Aromas and flavors of strawberry, peach, melon, tropical fruits and dusty earth. There is also a hint of brioche and a very creamy texture (lees contact?). Touch of pepper spice on the finish. Bright acidity. Refreshing. — 24 days ago

Domaine Marquis d'Angerville

Champans Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1985

been six years since I tired this last ~ hasn’t faded much!

barnyard funk quickly blew off revealing menthol, mulled berries, carob and suede

a core of crunchy berry fruit was piercing ~ cherry lozenges and liqueur, cassis, cranberry, raspberry candy ~ JUICY ~ some star anise and mace on the finish

C.V.N.E. (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España)

Real de Asúa Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2016

2016- Real de Asua - CVNE. Stored at 55 degrees for six months, decanted for one hour, and served at 65 degrees. I do prefer 62 but I missed the mark. Ha ha. The bouquet is a perfume of lavender and vanilla. The palate begins with a smooth silky raspberry delight. It is very light on the tongue, yet opaque in the glass. The legs last forever! The palate develops into a tart, earthy, and smokey finish that drys out the lips and tongue. There is an after taste of graphite and slate as the lips begin to pucker!! Where’s my water?????? — a month ago
