See previous notes from about a year ago. Enjoying this visually bright light straw bail color. Chardonnay from Burgundy. Taste is an oily chalky feel on the palate. Peach, lemon-lime and apple are dominant fruits with a mineral dry coconut med dry finish finish. Yummy! Enjoying on a beautiful silhouette night in Napa. — 3 years ago
This wine is just like Jean-Jacques Morel's silhouette, which is very French and a little unkept. Unmanicured. This is not traditional Bourgogne Blanc of crisp acid and peppered oak. This is Chardonnay in ripe and wild form. Free spirited and behind a nondescript label, there’s an aspect of ironic cool and I could see natural wine shops selling this for $50+ if only they knew Jean-Jacques ever existed.
Glowing unfiltered hay. Aromas of lemon curd and fresh bright pineapple with a hint of vanilla. There's VA but it works. Salty sour flavors of apricots and peaches with a persistent finish. — 4 years ago

A silhouette of violets, dandelion tea, and dark sour cherries usher in angular acidity and firm, addictive tannins. Firm bodied with balanced doses of minerality and sassafras bark. Equality across the palate. Delicious and a stand-up performance of a Beaujolais-Village quality level. #vintageonthecork — 9 years ago

Chappellet – Signature Chenin Blanc – 2024 🇺🇸
Pritchard Hill, Napa Valley AVA – California, USA
Overview
An exceptional and expressive Chenin Blanc from the iconic slopes of Pritchard Hill. Crafted by winemaker Phillip Corallo-Titus, this small-production white showcases the precision and elegance that Chappellet is known for.
Molly Chappellet’s signature featured on the label, along with the distinct bottle silhouette, reflects her refined aesthetic and the wine’s singular personality.
Aromas & Flavors
A vibrant aromatic spectrum: lemon, fresh pineapple, nectarine, and tropical white flowers. Subtle French-oak influence reveals whispers of nutmeg, vanilla, and lightly toasted spice without overshadowing the fruit purity.
Mouthfeel
Bright and lively with toned acidity that keeps the wine energetic. Layers of citrus, lychee, and stone fruit unfold across the palate, finishing with candied lemon zest, mineral lift, and a refreshing, persistent length.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled halibut, lemon-herb chicken, shrimp scampi, soft goat cheese, or spring vegetable risotto. Its acidity and texture make it incredibly versatile at the table.
Verdict
A stunning, beautifully composed Chenin Blanc that highlights Napa Valley’s ability to produce world-class whites beyond Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Elegant, complex, and irresistibly fresh, a wine that captivates from first aroma to final sip.
Did You Know?
Chenin Blanc was once widely planted in Napa Valley in the 1960s–70s. Chappellet is one of the rare estates preserving and elevating this noble Loire variety on premium hillside terroir.
🍷 Personal Pick Highlight
A uniquely compelling white that impressed me from the first whiff, polished, aromatic, and brimming with personality. One of the most memorable Chenin Blanc expressions coming out of California today. Cheers! — 7 months ago

Paired with grub at Maggie’s, we enjoyed the energy and structure to this red meat dance partner. In a general way, this had that cherry coke silhouette. A great restaurant offering :) — 7 years ago

Wonderful white rhone blend. Partial ferment with skin contact gives this wine body and a bit of waxy characteristic. apples scream at you, a wonderful compliment to a meal — 10 years ago
Herbaceous near smoke-point olive oil and bamboo shoots with a thin lemon juice on wet, river rock silhouette. The palate is full, siphoning into a barely perceptible tingle, adding buoyancy. Clean and delicious with shrimp in a homemade tomato cream sauce. A wiggle of the hips, a simple linen sashay, in a sunny field of white wildflower and clover. This Cortese really does it all. Curious to see it dance on the half shell. #cortese #piedmonte #italianwine — 11 years ago
Tree Kilpatrick
sort of a critter label with a ram silhouette. Lovely beet juice color. Aroma is tart red berries and a quince jam. Flavors are very earthy and strange. More beets, some cherry cola, a hint of mint. Body is unique. Almost oily. Thick. Tannins are high, but well integrated. Slightest of sauna vibes. Think hot rocks and wet rocks. This is a strange, very old world wine. More on the savory side with just enough fruit seeping through. — 4 months ago
