09’ Bevan The Curmudgeon - Showket Vineyard. 50% Cabernet 50 % CF
75 cases produced. Needs an hour decanting.
Dark purple in color. The nose – Spring flowers !?!
Palate- Seamlessly constructed wine. Red fruits of cherry, plum, raspberry. Tar licorice, espresso. Well integrated tannins, wood, acidity. Very good bottle. Not great. — 7 months ago
Nice for a merlot but a bit disappointing for Bevan, maybe I'm expecting too much for the price point? I guess I was hoping for some of the wonderful Showket Merlot that Bevan did years ago. — a year ago
