I was surprised how much life this has. Tasted like the Chinese haw flake candy which is supposedly made from hawthorn fruit. Well balanced and still had enough acidity. — a year ago
Dark ruby color. Aromas and flavors of red and dark fruit, dried herbs and minerals. Plush and pretty well balanced. Fine tannins and smooth finish. Very “Loire-like” in Style. — 4 years ago
Very fruity nose, dark purple but translucent, dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry, low tannins and oak. — 5 years ago
Very smooth Zinfandel and Syrah/petite syrah blend. Big nose and fruit forward. Excellent — 6 years ago
Really liked this. Out of the Shenandoah Valley in VA. 90% Cab franc, 4% syrah, 3% petite manseng, and even 3% Riesling. Will buy more of their juice. — 6 years ago

2020. At Taste Restaurant in Plymouth. This wine is soooo good! — 3 years ago
Not your typical sweet white wine. A creamy apricot with a sweet finish. Great to drink very cold and with spicy food. If you're a beginner wine drinker, start here! Great proce and layers of tropical Starburst flavors! — 4 years ago
Great wine. Ripe dark cherry Delicious...perfect paired with my tomato basil pizza. — 5 years ago
Remarkable how well this held up for nine years… 50% cab sauv, 36% PV, 14% merlot....Smart blending considering the wet end to the vintage – as much acid as possible (this was the second label wine from old vines… Before T.Ruth was born the next year). Classic Glen Manor concentration of flavor, just in a lighter weight package. This was my last bottle and I knew it was on the downward slope. Glad we enjoyed it when we did Dash it was a testament to Jeff white quality in the vineyard and deft touch in the cellar :) — 6 years ago
Very good. Last of the bottles from JA's trip east in 2018. — 7 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed out of red Solo cups over the course of a few hours. The 1981 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears and significant sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes desiccated, as well as some ripe black and red fruits: mixed brambles, black cherry, tobacco, leather, dried flowers, earth and spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It’s always fun to open old bottles of classically made Zinfandel and this turned out to be a great bottle of the 1981 Esola Vineyard. If you have a bottle, and you’re reading this, find some friends and drink now. — 8 months ago

McKahn Family Cellars - 2019 Grenache - WOW! I love Grenache and this is definitely my new favorite!!! this is just about the perfect wine. The nose is blueberry pie fresh out of the oven. The initial palate is loaded with big ripe black and purple fruit and berries. This is so good and complex. Blackberry, boysenberry, plumb, ripe sweet juicy grapes fresh off the vine, and a hint of raspberry. Then comes the earthy tones of graphite and oak. There is a hint of chocolate and spice in the background. The finish is dry and absolutely no sourness anywhere. This is a true gem!!!!!
Fantastic job McKahn family! — 4 years ago
A big body for a Riesling. Tastes similar to a Santa Barbara Chardonnay. Concentrated ripe fruit with a long finish. — 5 years ago
