Cooper Vineyards

Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel 2017

Another bottle. Thanks Robbie. Amazingly dense nose. Curry spices, sage and a horse. Graphite and pencil sharpener. Plus something fruity. Maybe plums. Or dried sweet cherries. Flavors are classic Amador Zin. Nutmeg and cherry juice. Campfires and fancy Flame raisins. It’s still a nice wine, but better smelling than it tastes. The mouth has a bit too much ripe stuff and not enough to chewy on. — a month ago

Monarch Mine Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2013

The most unusual Cab Franc I’ve come across. Pipe tobacco and pine needles. Really enjoyable, cerebral and a sure way to fuck up a blind tasting. — 5 months ago

Wonderful wine. Even the LW, who typically doesn’t care for Sangiovese, loved it. — 7 months ago
