The fucking British are coming - the crew thought this was just fine. Passion fruit and guava dominate.

Sparkling Reserve Brut White Blend
Another excellent ENGLISH bubbly. Notes of fresh toast and hazelnuts. On the palette, the wine is zesty with a beautiful upright structure. Grapefruit, chalk and brioche persist. Bubbles are not as tight as a French model, but you get the added benefit of all things British at their very best. Varietals are mostly Pinot and Chard.

My research shows this varietal has German origins, and it shows since it displays hints of a Riesling. Tilts sweet with a nice playful sweetness. Primarily citrus fruits on the front palate, with hints of sherbet on the rear. Nice acidity has served to protect this from decline. Could go another 3 years at a push. โ 13 days ago
