Monstrous Cab from Russell Bevan. Bottle has been open for about an hour, and still needs a bit of breathing room. Black cherry, cola and bitter cocoa. Tannins are firm, and reminiscent of slightly burnt caramel and leather. Would love to revisit this one in 10-15 years. — 2 months ago
First off, delectable needs to update this location. La Cucina moved in after Roberta's closed last year, and is one of my favorite restaurants.
Love this wine! Doesn't drink nearly as big as it's abv. Dark, meaty, spicy fruit, with gravelly tannins. Definitely new world, but right in the pocket as far as balance. Not a bad bottle to start off with this evening. — 2 months ago
