I was knocked off my feet by this English wine, yes ENGLISH, so I declare my bias.
It's a wonderful example produced from 30 + year old vines, in the SW of the country. Very exotic nose with cut flowers, sweet spices citrus fruits. The palette is textured and sits effortlessly. It has a great length and purity of fruit. Finished compact and tilts towards sweetness. Forgive me but I'm not familiar with the varietal in this blend (Bacchus), but it's of German decent.

Tasted at the winery with the assistant winemaker - the British are coming.

Love this wine from the Sharpham estate in Devon, great nose and a real fruit punch. My misses really rates it too, which is an achievement!
