This wine rocked. It might be past peak but this over delivered in terms of drink ability and balance. Wonderful fruit and stunning aromatics just offer a glimpse of one of the best two merlotsbin California but I might be a bit biased. Made by a legend and enjoyed by a law abiding citizen.....i want more. — 8 years ago
Fruity notes, flows down nicely! Was an excelent accompaniment to a deep dish pizza. — 3 years ago
Pleasantly floral and slightly herbal, the 2021 Soave II Selene opens with green apple, candied lime and sweet sage aromas. Soft and supple, with crisp acids, the Selese finishes long and full of tension, leaving traces of Granny Smith apple and a salty minerality. $13.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2023) — a year ago

Deep ruby color. Nose is ripe plums and black cherry, licorice, wet sage. Chocolate. Full even tannins, toast, coffee, finish dried fruit, blueberry, still rich. Last bottle, last Selene. One of my favorite little learning trails. — 4 months ago
