Generally not an Anderson Valley fan as I usually find it a light impression of the Santa Lucia area (which I'm not a fan of either). Jeff did a really nice job with this tho...lacking concentration on the finish but otherwise, really pleasant and promising. — 5 years ago
Liking the 2015 SBs. Big rich tart red fruits. More restrained than the last bottle I had from this producer (different vineyard) — 8 years ago
Nose: floral.
Palate: a bit light. Good crunch. Lovely.
Mosaic $30 — 5 months ago
medium reddish violet; earth, black cherry, cranberry, black tea, and spice; medium body, nice acid backbone, light tannins, 14.1% ABV; aged 18 months in new French oak barrels; $60 — 6 years ago
2012 vintage. Lots of blue fruit in the nose. Light/medium body. Seamless throughout the palate. Slightly dusty/peppery on the finish but an enduring "too much beauty" motif. Too pretty/pageant contestant to accurately rate. Drinking very very nicely now tho. — 8 years ago
2017 vintage. Lighter color along with light-medium body. A bit dirty about the collar and slightly unkempt. Inexpensive for the quality. Tobacco, dirt and red fruit flitting here and there. Definitely not your average, Sonoma plushy/rich, fruit-bomb. 01.15.25. — a year ago
Beautiful young Zinfandel. — 5 years ago
Building on my history of never experiencing a bad Saxon bottle from Justin. PnP and opened more as the night progressed. Classic black and blue Rhône-blend fruit notes with smokey tobacco and anise. Great balance between the tannins and bright fruit, with a lengthy finish. — 7 years ago
