Big and brash — 4 years ago
Deep ruby color with nose of cassis, blackberries, violets, cedar, and vanilla. Very acidic and tart on first sip, but as it opens up the depth comes. This is a big wine with solid fruit and firm tannins. Give it a few years and I imagine those tannins will soften a bit. Enjoyed with some friends while we prayed for our kids. — 3 months ago
Table red wine. For the price ($10 US or so) it was quite excellent. Even the ladies enjoyed. — 2 years ago

A dry and textural citrusy floral Vermentino blend from Victoria, Australia! The Chalmers family is doing amazing things with Italian grapes grown in Aus — this wine is packed with apples, limes, grapefruit, and some white flowers/ honeysuckle. It’s bright and food-friendly — great for #girldinner — 5 months ago
Is it amazing? Can’t say that. Is it really “durify”? Not that either. But it is pretty good. Low harshness and no sourness. — 4 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2016 Lore Vineyard pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe black fruits: brambles, plums, cassis, loads of tobacco, leather, a touch of bell pepper, organic earth and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is velvety. This is modern Napa through and through. Balanced but big. Drink now through 2036. — 4 days ago
