I love San Antonio winery. Today I received a free bottle of Maddalena Merlot which I am drinking now. It is phenomenal! The ratings and reviews on this or not to my satisfaction nor agreement. This is a spicy dark fruit Merlot. It is wonderful. No tang, no after taste, no bitter anything. Not too dry. Lots of oak and chocolate. I’m telling you Riboli Paso Robles Merlots are phenomenal. The Riboli family are so lucky to have this amazing woman as their matriarch. WOW ... best merlot I have ever had. — 8 years ago
Stewed fruit and plum nose with an earthy vegetal undertone. Smooth to drink and feels rich and warming, slight tannins but soften quickly, not too sweet. Great wine. — 9 years ago
Excellent balance and flavor! — a year ago

True to its name, the Opaque Paso Robles Zinfandel 2014 is, well, opaque. Aside from that the nose is deliciously expressive. Rife with steeped blackberries and plums, anise, cedar, and chocolate mint. Expect a wallop of freshly ground black pepper on the nose and on the palate. The attack is full-bodied and lush, enlivened by pitched acidity and yes, more of that intense spice character coming through right at the finish. BBQ, anyone? Sample | 15.5% ABV — 9 years ago
This Monterey County Pinot Noir is fairly dark and very fragrant in the glass. Aromas of black cherry, black tea, licorice and cinnamon put together the kind of display that makes me think of the holidays. Dark fruit dominates the palate, and a full set of tannins accompany the juicy sip. The Los Angeles-based Riboli family recommends pairing their Highlands 41 Pinot with grilled sausage, pasta primavera, baked salmon or roasted duck. I would toss in turkey and ham as excellent pairings. I had mine with lemon and honey Wensleydale cheese, and it was beautiful. — 4 years ago
Good Job with this one San Antonio Winery and the Riboli family!!!!!! I couldn't ask for a better wine! Good gobblie gooks! This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French then American oak! 110 dollars total shipped from LA to Athens GA for 4 bottles! Damn good deal. I'd pay 110 dollars for one bottle it is so good!!!!!!!!! The bouquet is rhubarb and pie in an old country store - lots of oak and pipe tobacco - the initial palate is blackberry and vanilla spice and quickly exposes amazing hints of chocolate and coffee. The finish is dry but doesn't leave my mouth dehydrated. Excellent Wine!!!!!! I just ordered 4 more bottles. — 8 years ago

Powerful cab, pretty classic Napa. I like the earthiness. Tannins are mellowing. Drinking nicely. — 2 months ago
