Diego de Almagro Reserva Tempranillo 2011

Pretty good. Can tell is expensive bc of how smooth and consistent it is. Pretty dry, wouldnt necessarily buy again over a zin but def good. Would go well with something sweet and savory like bbq ribs. — 2 months ago

Dehesas Viejas Reserva Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2015

One of nicest we’ve had in a while. Flavors reminiscent of Argentinian Malbec. Full bodied and rich, but not sweet. Will definitely get again — 4 months ago

Bodegas Fernando Castro

Reserva Raíces Valdepeñas Syrah 2008

Prado Rey Gran Reserva Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2009

Ribera del Duero, primarily Tempranillo, with a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, resulting in a big red wine with plum, licorice and earthiness. Yummy! — 3 months ago

Rey Fernando de Castilla

Antique Fino Sherry

More of an amontillado, with rich toasted almonds, walnuts, cheese rind, and mushroom aromas. Umami richness to boot. A treat. — 4 months ago

Good value for $11 from Trader Joe's. Let it breathe or use a decanter to unlock its flavors. — 4 months ago

Gran Reserva Condado de Oriza Tempranillo Blend

Couple of hours to open up (no decanter). Color is that of a ruby crystal. Intense ripe cherry and light sandalwood aromas. More berries and and a hint of vanilla essence in the mouthfeel. Medium bodied, firm and gripping tannings, long finish reminesant of chai spices.

This is a good bottle. A Gran Reserva at that, with 2 years in oak and three years in bottle before release. One can taste the robustness of the terroir towards finish and on the finish itself!

This bottle has got potential... Enough said.
