This is a fantastic beer. Aged a couple years. Deep mocha. Maple. Charred figs. Chicory. Bitter sweet. — a year ago
Massive 15.5% smackdown from Alicante. Strong thick slow legs. Full bodied. The nose is earthy with white pepper, hint of black licorice. Palate is interesting. Quite silky, immediate attack is dusty, supposedly like the terrain (late revision: this note subsiding over time); then big fruit, the end is a tad candyish with very little tannic grip. I had this with a light meal. It would have paired better with steak, or heat spice. Great wine, but Vatan is better in this price range for Spain.

Super delicious; a tad on the sweeter side. Strawberry and stone fruit with a lite minerality. Revision: paired with hard boiled quail eggs—brought out a creaminess to the wine. Sooo goood. — a month ago
