Baked green apple, honeydew. Nice light natty funk. — 4 years ago
Aromatic, structured, clean. — 6 years ago
We don't get a lot of chances to drink big red wines at home because Raina doesn't eat red meat, but I decided on duck tonight and knew this was in in our wine fridge. It was the perfect pairing. Perfect example of California red wine worth its price point. Dusty, earthy nose with cocoa powder, vanilla, and very dark fruit. On the palate it's lush and full bodied with bitter dark chocolate and great tannic structure that doesn't dry your mouth out. This is drinking wonderfully now, but I could also see this mellowing and developing more nuance with time. — 8 years ago

Delicious, tannic, and slightly funky. Very interesting wine to sip on its own — 3 years ago
This was a Christmas wine from Raina a few years back. Just everything you want from Riesling. Extremely aromatic and flavorful. Searing acidity and pronounced minerality. Reductive and very dry, but so acidic it’s hard to tell if there was any RS. It might be 11 years old, but this wine is a baby. It drinks beautifully now, and probably will continue to for a long, long time. — 6 years ago
Perhaps the more focused wine from Raina which is a family natural winery that doesn't forget the tradition. Only little sulphites used in the whole process(just before bottling), nothing else added.
6 days maceration, indigenous yeast and 6 months on the lees in stainless steel.
Result is orangy with vivid mineral that leads the sip. It doesn't tire your palate, it's a little less than intriguing because goes down too quickly.
It's long too
Excellent price point is a plus
I reckon this is a very good effort
A little bottle age would help too i guess — 3 years ago
Nice Italian wine. — 5 years ago
Raina and I actually had the pleasure of visiting this winery back in October, which was pretty unforgettable. This was one of our favorites. Aromatic nose with floral and white pepper. Pretty light in body with more of that white pepper on the palate, decent acidity, and some red fruit. Very lovely and delicate. — 8 years ago

Erster Sagrantino seit Jahren und der Erste für die Kathrin. Wir sind uns einig: Tannine und Säure sind unser Ding. Hier kommt eine schöne dunkle, gereifte waldfrucht hinzu.
