Our friend Kelly brought this back from her trip to Oz and it doesn’t disappoint. Small production NZ Pinot with depth but not too much fruit so the top end finishes beautifully. Lots of tobacco and anise without being overbearing and one dimensional. I like the huckleberry side notes and enough earth tone to match up with some of the top Oregon Pinot that stays in the more traditional Burgundian style. — 6 years ago

Amazing example of both Aussie Shiraz AND sparkling. Full of flavour without the unnecessary spice. — a year ago
Bright, tart, quaffable natty vin by Alex Pomerantz via Stag/cerf club. Akin to Chad Hinds take on CA syrah. — 6 years ago
Had my fingers crossed opening this 12 year old wine. Thankfully it was delightful and very soft. — 6 years ago

See previous Delectable notes. We love this New Zealand Riesling from Central Otago - made in the Germanic style with a little residual sugar. Minerality and peachy with M minus acid at its current age. Would go on for a year or two but essentially at its peak. When one thinks of NZ wines many tasters think of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, also Chardonnay but Riesling flies under the radar somewhat. Note to self - buy more NZ Riesling. — 2 months ago
