Bought at the winery, cracked open for anniversary dinner. A rich wine, have decanted it for 7 hours and it’s still somewhat shy. Plenty of life left here, primary fruit and secondaries poking through the veil. Black fruit, cassis, olive perfume, sweet and woodsy nose. Excited to open this first bottle. A bit tight on opening, but 45 min later really opens up. Fruit is sweetly ripe, tannins soft and a bit chalky and perfectly integrated. Acidity and alcohol also really in line. Dark fruit, graphite, leather, pipe tobacco. Really nice and drinking very well with a short decant. — 4 months ago

P: Burnt toffee..but delicate. Brine. A silk sheet, not a hammer. Very Chamomile, white flowers. Delicious!
