If you enjoy Chianti or you are in need of an Italian fix...uncork this wine and enjoy your transition. Dark red with clear edges, medium body, tannic follow-up with hints of dark plum and fig. I am too impatient to describe why I like this wine...Nono would have enjoyed this wine but would prefer his own....close to the heart....excellent....chao! Beautifully simple, like a Montepulciano should be. Had it with Marchiagianni sausage polenta. Fittingly, it was fabulous. This is a wine I could see my Nono drinking out of those small juice glasses in the wine cellar, while slicing thin chards off the leg of prosciutto hanging there. Memories. — 9 years ago
