This is second of my 2010-2012 vertical tasting. Dark purple color of this Second Growth Bordeaux. A blend of about 55% Cab Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, with the rest Cabernet Franc and a little Carmenère. A complex nose of ripe berry fruits and tobacco. Palate displays ripe fruits, blackberry & raspberry, smoky oak with soft dusty tannin structure aging well. Good now but still has aging potential. Tasting Sample.

Lovely.. The nose lures you in with Bright cranberry and herbal notes give way to some tar and plum on the nose. Velvety fruit and a seductive mouthfeel after 6 hours+ in decanter. This is a beaut.

Had this 2011 a few weeks ago with Beef Daube next to a very aged Mouton. Plummy smooth but not too impressive. Forgot I had a little left in the bottle in a cool corner of kitchen and had it 10 days later and it was more enchanting, somehow fresher more berry fruit with a gorgeous hint of leather in background.

Like this wine. 2011 is very accessible now. Tannins have softened. Had this wine a while ago and found it thin. This time a better fullness. Wonderful herbal, earthy, plummy nose and taste.
