Caveat being price,, my scores would be lower if I had paid release. But I still enjoy most bottles from this vineyard but at $125.00 or less. This 2017 is singing right now. Dusty red fruit. Smooth. Very drinkable fine wine. — a year ago
Best Sauvignon Blanc! Well-balanced, semi-fruity. — 8 years ago
Solid...not too peppery, but still full and well rounded. — 9 years ago
Very smooth wine — 9 years ago
One of my favorite Napa Cabs. So much flavor. So smooth. — 10 years ago
Nicholson Jones White Label Cabernet 2012 vintage is a wonderful full bodied wine. Smooth from the first sip with a strong fruit presence. Think Caymus 40th anniversary cabernet on steroids. This was a treasure from a young wine producer with a talent for making really good wines. A ten from start to finish. — 10 years ago
This was a nice Cabernet Franc. I enjoyed the style of the Nicholson Jones slightly better than the coverts. Although the overall style is similar. It was smooth, elegant and consistent wire to wire. But again, just never popped like I felt it should. — 7 months ago
Julien Fayard makes the Covert. He worked with Philippe Melka for yrs before going out on his own. Julien also makes the Nicholson Jones wines.
I went to taste’s the Nicolson Jones wines but they set up the coverts for me. My host said they upgraded me.
The Covert wines are spendy. North of $250 at the winery. This is my first experience having them.
Having said that, most of the 23 Napa reds show amazingly beautiful fruit. This had that. These are really soft and nicely layered but they just didn’t stand up-out at their price point. For me, just not compelling. — 7 months ago
Bravo to this big North Carolina Malbec. Who would have thought 👌🏼 — 4 years ago

Delish and bright with halibut cheeks in beurre blanc! Great good wine, super complimentary ... Patrick compared to a Muscadet. Might not get again, but food selection admittedly nailed by Ted at Seifert & Jones. — 10 years ago
@Delectable This is the Covert 337/191.

This was slightly better & showed a bit more but rounding up to 94. Definitely, shows the herbal sage on the nose. — 7 months ago
Fresh/crisp acidity, unoaked (thanks god!), silky tannin, balanced minerality and elegant body. — 9 years ago

Mid fading ruby with a tawny rim. Very Burgundian in appearance and palate. Plummy Earthy aromas with a touch of tan boot polish. With air more floral notes with rose petal. Close planting and site selection has enabled Phillip Jones to craft an incredible Burgundian look alike. I think this is consistently Australias finest Pinot. Not cheap for an Aussie Pinot but cheap compared to Burgundy and I would rate this higher than a few of the Grand Crus I had last Saturday. — 9 years ago

I went to Covert to taste the Nicholas Jones Sleeping Lady. I have two vintages (14 & 16) in my collection but have never had one. I bought on recommendation from @Paul T HB.
I had hoped to try their 2023 but they are still tasting their 2019. Per my host, they hold back their Sleeping Lady awhile longer to age further in bottle.
This 2019 was the best in the tasting. It demonstrated to me that I could open my 14 or 16 or continue to hold awhile longer.
I would say that the Nicholas Jones demonstrate more depth & character over the Covert. — 7 months ago
