After being gone for 23 days, it was a race to get all the work done to open up our backyard or as we call it, the D&S Lounge.
5 full days of; planting, power-washing the house & patio, cleaning furniture, setting up 60 candles & torches and the endless odds and ends. It’s all finally done.
It’s the best room in the house!
It’s opening weekend and looking forward to a long summer and fall weekend nights in our own slice of heaven!
This tastes so good tonight. Showing more tangerine and blood orange tonight. I am in my version of the “Nexus”, Star Trek reference.
Cheers to everyone doing what they enjoy doing with their weekends and opening a good bottles with good friends and or family! 🥂🍾🍷 — 6 years ago
This single select Riesling was actually selected by the nature. With noble rot all over the grapes from a small parcel of the one and only Josef vineyard, the wine offers a very pronounced nose: dried marmalade peel, honeysuckle, raisin and dried apricot. On the palate it feels special: mouth coating sweetness balanced by its great acidity. Totally rounded and pristine, yet the length is quite long from the front to the back. After taste brings candied pear and dried dates. So dense yet pure, so flavorful yet concentrated. This wine is a nexus of complicity and simplicity - a singularity. Personally hope it can be fermented a little bit longer. — 6 years ago
Nice drinkable red. Not too dry… good with seafood or pasta. — 3 years ago

In my mind you can’t go wrong with a Beau Rivard, I mean, Beau Vigne. Amazing abundance of tropical and citrus flavors married to a wonderful minerality and acidity. This wine is like standing on the corner of First and First (you Seinfeld fans will get that) - it’s the Nexus of Old and New World - love this Chard @Martin G Rivard !!! — 7 years ago
Nice capstone to the meal. This is made with the ancient Muscat de Alexandria! Jesus probably drank this. Fantastic! Honey, apricot, full bodied,
UPDATE: just read others' reviews. @Shay A also describes this well. I will.be searching for this wine for the house. The velvety mouth feel is addictive... I left the restaurant about 15 min ago and might turn around for another glass. The honey-apricot nexus is unbelievable!!!
