Dark straw in color. Nectar and honey on the nose. A delicious semi-sweet wine with apricot, honey, cinnamon, pear, and candied peach on the palate. High acid, medium body, and a long finish. Eleven years on and drinking beautifully. — 5 months ago
Earthy, smooth, medium bodied. Very nice. — a month ago
Cancun 2025 — 3 months ago
I purchased the bottle specifically for paring with spicy hot pot as I rarely drink sweet Champaign and wanted to give it a try.
Beautiful nose of blackcurrant, raspberry, ripe strawberry, orange peel, chalk, and hint of warm spices. Fine persistent mellow mouse. Acidity can barely keep up with the 45g dosage. There is pomelo-like bitterness to keep the sweetness in check as well.
Too sweet for me to drink on its own, but it was a fantastic pairing.

Pure Joy
The nose is florality with some stony minerality and herbs
The palate starts with honeysuckle nectar and white flowers. The fruit is the usual riesling mix of apples and pears that veer toward peach and stone fruits on the sweet and lengthy finish
That’s the story of this kabinett riesling but also of the 2019 German riesling vintage overall. So much deliciousness from start to finish. Midpalates are plump with precise flavors. Properly ripe fruit with enough florality and balancing acidity to make them tasty & elegant. It’s hard to find a complaint — 3 years ago

Vintage 2001 | This is such a treat, honeyed nectar, which I poured at a farewell of my colleagues, and even people who drink wine in a irregular base like this. — 6 days ago
