Inkblot Lodi Petite Sirah 2021

ESF
9.1

had their Petit Verdot so was excited about a Petit Sirah: this was hot tho - lacking some polish - really felt the ABV, needs to settle down, but still all the great character of PS w/impressive extraction/concentration & varietal aromas & flavors. Outlier amongst Lodi wines — 16 days ago

Zinfandel 2022

This is enjoyable in a massive CA overripe wine style! There’s a good amount of all the peppers, bell, jalapeños, white, cracked black, huge amount of purple/black fruit. Jan. Vanilla and some woodsy notes. I’d drink again. — 2 months ago

Rapture Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

This and the rose are my favorites from Michael David. Huge wine. Explosion of fruit on the nose. Not a lot of oak/wood which is great. Smooth and drinkable. This is a great bbq wine that at or just bellow cellar temp is even better. I’d buy again — a month ago

Lodi Rosé Blend 2023

Delicious wine from Michael David! Randy Fuller nailed this, especially the Lanolin Aroma, a new experience for me! Presents red berries, cherry, watermelon, crushed river rock, and spice! Years back, they made a great chardonnay, "Seven Heavenly Chards".
Does anyone else recall this? Or am I just showing my age!
Enjoying pieces from "Last of the Mohicans" Trevor Jones.

@Dawn E. - I remember their Heavenly Chardonnay- they still make 2 types of Chardonnay but I didn’t see the Heavenly one on their list.

@Neil Valenzuela thanks for the confirmation. We use to have a " Wine Styles" they had the only allocation of that Chardonnay in the Quad Cities! Seems so long ago!

Freakshow Lodi Zinfandel 2019

Not as full-bodied as I usually like my Zinfandels, but still very drinkable. Lots of great flavors and held up very well with a rich beef meal. Notes of juicy, ripe black berries and a hint of cigar smoke. — 3 months ago
