Lock Vineyard Improv Red Blend 2022

Cherry on the nose.Spicy, woodsy, forest floor on the palate. Dark fruit like their other wines but not driving the bus. Lower tannins, medium acidity. Very nice. — 3 months ago

"Ronco al Maso" Vespolina 2021

Not sure the ID is correct…but this opens as a blackberry jam explosion, cools down, tannins slap you in the face, long finish…simply enjoyable — 6 months ago

Maso Grener

Bianco Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Chard/ Sauv Blanc from the North. It’s all about the blanched almonds, marzipan, & stone fruits. Medium acidity. Has a rather stoic, even severe quality which begs for some off setting zany food. — 4 years ago

Azienda Agricola Platinetti Guido

Vigna Ronco Al Maso Ghemme Nebbiolo 2017

Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right.
