Rich jammy flavor. Good finish. I really enjoyed this wine. Very good value for the price. — 2 months ago
Lovely for it's age. A bit dusty on the nose, with a bright orange-red color. Smooth, lightly tannic. 39% Merlot, 34% Syrah, 26% Cab Sauv, 1% Petit Verdot. — 18 days ago
Oddly enough it does connect with you more each time you have some. Most enjoyable to have multiple small servings spread out over the day or a couple days. Not overbearing but still has good body. — a month ago
I usually am not one to run out to the grocery store and buy wine. But tonight, the wife and I were feeling lazy and wanted a frozen pizza and wine. I’ve seen this bottle before, but this was the first time I bought it. Vanilla forward, light and bright. Really a good bottle for $20 at food lion!! I’d most definitely buy again. — 3 months ago
Dark fruit notes. Big flavors of leather, smoke, bacon, spices and Oak. Full bodied with quite a bit of tannins without being too tannic. Nice and big Zin.

Enjoyed at La Forét in San Jose, CA. — 2 months ago
Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
My guilty pleasure. — 2 months ago
A little more beauty & fine elegance over the 2020.
Nose shows nice ripe, dark core fruits with fresh dark floral and spice.
The palate shows; lush mouthfeel with thick, ripe M+ tannins, blackberries, black raspberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, plum, creamy raspberries & purple fruits, fresh & dry tobacco, used raw leather, nice mid level baking spices, crushed, dry limestone, dry top soil, mix of some fresh & dry herbs, excellent level of dark spice-not overdone, anise, caramel, milk & dark chocolate, dark & red flowers framed in liquid violets, excellent round acidity with a velvety, lush, elegant finish that is very well balanced, structured that lasts 90 seconds. — 3 months ago

2021 vintage. Medium body but filled with old-school passion, love and flavors. More than a hint of mint on the thrashing, tannic finish. Previous, similarly priced efforts from this producer left me indifferent/cold. It takes a lot to awaken certain things these days but this one got the overly jaded California Cab palate fired up again. 01.15.25. — 18 days ago
