Mid 20th century fashionable country resort, popular with Hollywood due to 1892 stone Manor House & historic gardens. Blend of 81% Cab Sauv, 11% Merlot, 4% Malbec, rest other Rhone varieties, aged 20 months in 37% new French oak. Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs & spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry & black currant with vanilla oak and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade. — 4 years ago
A really beautiful opaque crimson. Truly almost impenetrable. Definite signs of bricking but nothing to be concerned about. As expected, it’s more than a bit closed in upon opening and needs a few hours to express itself. Soft vanilla and violet aromas are coaxed from their shell. A little cherry rhubarb and burnt tobacco. Cinnamon and spice with dark chocolate. Leather and lace with an abundance of faded cherries. The earthy aromas are the star of the show here.
This obviously needs a lot of time decanting, as much time as you have to give it. Quite a bit of sediment in the bottle, but don’t let that stop you. There’s a lot of good to be had here. Some fruit remains on the palate but mostly delightful earth and spice. The acid remains and keeps things lively. The alcohol throws the balance out of whack a bit and there’s almost no tannic structure remaining but at the end of the day it’s still a fun, impressive wine. — 4 years ago
Remarkable how well this held up for nine years… 50% cab sauv, 36% PV, 14% merlot....Smart blending considering the wet end to the vintage – as much acid as possible (this was the second label wine from old vines… Before T.Ruth was born the next year). Classic Glen Manor concentration of flavor, just in a lighter weight package. This was my last bottle and I knew it was on the downward slope. Glad we enjoyed it when we did Dash it was a testament to Jeff white quality in the vineyard and deft touch in the cellar :) — 6 years ago
Dark fruit and baking spice on the nose. Juicy dark berries mixed with ripe plums on the body giving way to an unexpected, but much appreciated, gentle wave of acidity. — 8 years ago
Wonderful citrus profile and requisite verve. Another exceptional vintage for Jeff White!! At $25, what a great VA value! — 8 years ago

Beautiful balance of mouthfeel with terroir character. A touch of Provence with a generous volume of oily/silk roundness! Beautiful to pair with summer cuisine!! — 4 years ago
Gift from Donnie for my 40th birthday. Smooth taste with a blackberry finish. Oak-y. Having this with some Chicago Pepperoni Pizza, but a good everyday wine. — 6 years ago
This noble manor and its vineyards were once called Doizic, and during the middle of the 17th century, belonged to Jean Raymond, a Registrar with the Guyenne Borard of Excice. Tasted several vintages recently. Beautiful nose of ripe sweet fruit and complex spice. On the palate aromatic flavors of peach & apricot emerge with citrus zest and sweet spice. Still tasting great, sweet and fresh. Lingering finish ending pleasantly fresh and sweet. Good value. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

Low $, low alcohol, crazy good - take a swig👣🕶🍷
She’s a country sort casual, cool, in a simplistic seductive red dress showing voluptuous skin draped and contrasted in a purple sarong-like shawl clinging to her shoulders and rim, earthen, perhaps a tinge of wood maybe leather surely more than lace, somewhat feral playing around swirling, twirling ”dazzling dancing half enchanted,” I pull her close, breathing in her deep essence, I spin her left then right taking her close to the edge as she spills over wetting my lips into my mouth drifting slowly clinging unctuous and warm, she takes her time, deeper, as an errant drop drips from the corner of my mouth her ruby round essence slides down my pectoral finding linen, landing marking the moment - the music changes and I am reminded to take another hit, blue and red berries - musky blueberry and cherry. We dance all night. I get her name, her number and take her home ... “ohhhh what a niiight...” (vintage Dells and this sexy rough around the edges fine thing) hanging @ the Beau paddle dock on Taylor’s Creek during this the Season of The Witch - drink up and enjoy✌🏽💙💚☀️🌊👣🕶🍂🎃🎼🍷🌀 — 8 years ago
