Traditional Bordeaux style blend. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of blackberry jam, violets and toasted bread. Palate is full of jammy black currant/berry flavors with additional notes of dark chocolate, black cherry, blueberry, graphite and baking spices. Full bodied and juicy. The 2012 Insignia is in great shape today. Bright acids lend tremendous energy to a mid-weight Insignia that is more about finesse rather than power. Sweet red-fleshed fruit, cedar, tobacco, mint and rose petal are all beautifully delineated. There's not much left to say. The 2012 offers tons of pure pleasure. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024)

Excellent Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wine (81%) with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc (12%) and Merlot (7%). Still purple in color there is a beautiful balance of fruit (cassis, black cherry, blackberry) with oak (cedar, clove) and emerging tertiary notes of forest floor and earth.
