This has lots of wonderful flavors: it's crisp and refreshing, with asian-pear notes and even a hint of smoke on the finish. Very complex and delicious.

We drank it for a toast — much to everyone's delight. We also paired it with a gnocchi and Brussel sprout dish, full of parmesan and lemon. This is a wonderful food-friendly wine. Don't limit your enjoyment of this to toasts: make a whole meal around it! — a year ago

Every vintage I’ve had has been spectacular. The cork looked 2 years old. The wine was still tart and the tannins had softened and smoothed out. We had this elk and that paring worked very well. A delight in every way. — 2 years ago

Gorgeous raspberry color, with a slightly fruity nose. Just opened, so will probably open up. And wow. Wow. A beautiful blend tasting like an old world wine. Struggling to identify notes, but dried red fruits, with cedar and exotic notes. Super fine tannins and we'll balanced. If I closed my eyes I'd swear it was a French wine. A subtle and refined nose of lemon peel, a touch of almonds and some mint. The bubbles are so small and classy, tight yet so vibrant. The wine as such energy and freshness and is straight in the palate with excellent length, very elegant, so pure and an absolute delight to drink now, but might even be better in a few years. 95-96

Un nez fin et subtil de zeste de citron avec une touche d’amandes et de menthe. Les bulles sont serrées avec beaucoup de classe et d’élégance, tout comme le vin d’ailleurs qui est frais, très pur, droit, beaucoup d’énergie et avec une superbe longueur, pas le plus riche et le plus ample, un style droit et fin mais vraiment excellent. Se boit bien maintenant et sera assurément encore meilleur avec un peu de cave. 95-96 — 4 years ago
