Yellowish bright color. Intense aromas of flowers, developing nutty and buttery. Mineral and citrus on the palate. Creamy texture. Fresh and young for its 18yo age.
Once again amazed by the top quality of negociant label of Leroy. Madam Lalou is able to deliver an outstanding quality of wine from sourced grapes.
It outperformed 2002 Chassagne-Montrachet by Marquis de Laguiche tasted together, which has a more prestigious terroir.

The sheer beauty of these Aubert wines is that I’m never prepared for what to expect...
@David L introduced wifey and I to this brilliant chard. It glides effortlessly across the nose and palate. For an appellation bottling, this is a reference-point from which to compare the best chards. Homied nose, complimented with lemon oil and barrel toast. Palate presents butterscotch, coconut, and a hint of apricot. Flamboyant for its sheer complexity. Fleshy, yet so refined. Acidity is present, and is tucked in. Slight protruding cork but that's often the case Madam Leroy loves to fill wines well into the neck. Cork was perfect and smelled fresh...wine was in great shape for an 1985 year that many thought best for decades as of then. Sweet core and bloomed right off...dropped off in 15 minutes but enjoy just lovely expression of a 1985 Red Burg! Sammy Hagar loved the wine too at his El Paseo where we pooped it. — 10 years ago

Do I dare claim the peak day (08), month (12) and year (2018) of this extraordinary 2000! Simply sublime. Round and full of fruit with complementing tannins that make you keep coming back. Hats off to you Madam Corison. Befitting a 70th celebratory birthday; elegant and noble in its maturity. — 6 years ago
