On the nose it reminds me of a tawny port. Lovely hazelnut colour, rich with just a hint of sweetness. A tremendous finish with notes of caramel. Another fantastic wine from Lustau and once more a snip at the price. — 6 years ago
2022/9. Drunk over several days, this was surprisingly rancio at first, but that fell away after a day or two. Even then, though, this was much richer than I had expected, with lots of thick dried fruit, nuts and caramel - more oxidative than flor, definitely not a bone dry fino-adjacent wine. — 2 years ago
2020 summer. I picked this up when I was itching for some sherry and had to go with the selection at Tokyu. Expecting something basic, I was pleasantly surprised - this had nice intensity and character. Very old and rare sherries aren’t quite the bargains they once were, but the basic bottles from good producers still are awfully satisfying and very fairly priced. — 4 years ago

Excellent choice for a classic Adonis cocktail. 2:1 Sherry:Sweet Vermouth + dash of Angostura bitters and an orange peel. — 7 months ago
