Xisto Cru Tinto Red Blend 2013

Very dark in color. Nose mostly of mineral with little fruit. Red fruit on the palate-strawberry, raspberry and cherry. The acid mineral skeleton sets off the fruit. A well defined presentation. ABV 12.5%. Luis Seabra makes some of the most interesting wines coming from the Iberian Peninsula. 4* — 2 years ago

Mineral and acid driven with bright red fruits and spice. Multi-grape blend from a great new wave wine maker.

Mono-C Castelão 2017

day one cru beaujolais nose with underbrush red berry and chicory notes in a dark candy apple red cloak, just lovely and unstoppable….like you can’t stop drinking it…..day two softer darker cloudier more nuanced stewed fruit and vegetal notes, earthier - traded leaf for soil, and a very appealing candied orange rind scented bitter melon finish. both days great with delicate and hearty foodthings, versatile and expansive….if you can find this, lay it down. — 8 months ago

Indie Xisto Red Blend 2015

Aging nicely, the fruit has come out of this more than when I first tasted this wines 2-3 times in Portugal and out of my stash. Easily has another 10 years to go and has not yet turned tertiary. Long, cool red and blue fruited finish with violet and lavender like florals. Impressive! Potential is for sure 93-96pts depending on how this matures which is new territory for these wines and this style from the Douro. But all signs so far are very positive. — 3 months ago

We love this one. Also, got a bunch of it for $6 a bottle.

I would easily but a case or two if I found it for $6 a bottle.
